A: If you are still on your 30-day trial with Rocketspark you can choose to pre-register a domain name following these steps or choose your domain as part of the Upgrade Process. Existing customers please follow the steps below to register additional domains.

  1. Log in to your website Dashboard using your log in details.
  2. Click Domain Names in the left hand menu.

  3. Click on the Register a new domain name button.

  4. Enter the domain you are looking to register. Ensure you enter this correctly as this is the address that your website will be live at. Click Buy Domain.

NOTE: If the domain name already exists and another person currently owns it you will be unable to register the same domain, you will have to choose a different domain name.

If you currently own the domain name you are trying to register you need to transfer your domain to Rocketspark rather than registering it. We have a guide on how to do this here.

Australian and UK domain names need additional company eligibility information in order to register them. Sections below detail the different information required for each domain.

Australian Domain Names (.com.au, .org.au, .net.au, .asn.au)

After you have entered the domain name you are looking for you will be directed to a screen asking you to enter your eligibility details. Enter your eligibility information for your .au domain name. Fill out the fields and click Continue.

The next step is to enter your personal and company details. Click here to proceed to the person/company contact information section.

United Kingdom Domain Names (.co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .uk)

After you have entered the domain name you are looking for you will be directed to a screen asking you to enter your business details. Enter your business information for your .uk domain name. Fill out the fields and click Continue.
The next step is to enter your personal and company details. Click here to proceed to the person/company contact information section.

New Zealand and Other Domain Names

New Zealand and other domains registered do not have as strict rules regarding registration, because of this no additional company eligibility details need to be entered. Instead, proceed below to the personal and company contact details section.

Contact Information and Payment

After you have entered the domain name you are looking for you will be directed to a screen asking you to enter your personal and company details. This information will be used as the registrant & admin contact for your domain name. If you are purchasing this domain while on your 30-day trial this information will also be used as the billing information.

Tick the Terms and Conditions box, then Continue to proceed to the payment area.

You will now see the payment page. Here you will be charged for the domain name which Rocketspark will purchase on your behalf. Enter your credit card details and click the Pay Now button.

Domain Registration Processing

Once you have paid for your domain name you will be redirected back to the Domain Names page in your Dashboard.

Here you will be able to see the progress of your domain registration. At the beginning, the domain registration will be processing while the information is being verified and the registration process is underway.

If your domain registration fails you will be displayed with an error and the option to view your registration. The image below shows a failed registration.

By clicking the View errors button you can review your domain name registration and the information that you have submitted. Here you can edit information and resubmit the domain name registration when you have corrected the mistakes.
